Objective
This project is upgrading the current automated weather observation systems, enhancing existing limited observation sites, replace selected sites that were decommissioned due to unavailability of parts and maintain commonality amongst the CAF weather observation systems.
Requirements
49 AWOS are being installed; 30 at North Warning System (NWS) locations and 19 at various CAF locations.
A contract of approximately $19 million was awarded to All Weather Inc in 2012.
