Tactical Control Radar Modernization
The Tactical Control Radar (TCR) modernization project will allow the CAF to maintain a tactical, transportable, long-range air surveillance and aerospace control capability in support of national and international operations. This will address Canada's pledged contributions to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, and North Atlantic Treaty Organization Flying Training in Canada program, as well as North American Aerospace Defence commitments.
Three transportable tactical control radar systems with ancillary equipment including the associated command, control and communication systems and shelters. Two towers capable of supporting the new radars will be refurbished/built over the fighter training ranges at 3 Wing Bagotville and 4 Wing Cold Lake.
