Objective

"To upgrade the current Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile Point Defence Missile System to enable the Royal Canadian Navy Halifax Class ships to defend against current and future air threats.

Requirements

PDMSU project will acquire sufficient inventory of ESSM Block 2 to meet operational stock, training and tactical development. It will also make required changes to the ship and shore-based and training systems and integrate the upgrades into the Halifax-class Combat Management System.
