The Enhanced Counter-Improvised Explosive Device Project will deliver an improved capability in countering the pervasive improvised explosive device threat. This capability is urgently required and will support the Canadian Armed Forces in the asymmetric threat environment of current and future operations at home and abroad.


The C-ED Project will provide CF capability enhancements under three themes; to detect ED effectively and efficiently at longer range; to defeat ED effectively and efficiently at longer range; and to train CAF members on the doctrine, concepts, principles and procedures to protect themselves and CF assets against attack by IED.
