LM2500 Gas Turbine In-Service Support Contract (Long-Term)
Support Contract In Support Services
The long-term LM2500 Gas Turbine In-Service Support Contract (LM2500 ISSC) project is an initiative to replace the current LM2500 ISSC which is a performance based contract that provides spares, maintenance and repair and overhaul (R&O) to all LM2500 engines in the HALIFAX Class under a power-by-the-hour basis of payment. This is a follow-on contract to the current LM2500 ISSC, due to expire on 31 October 2020. It is anticipated that this long-term LM2500 ISSC will start in 2020 and run until 2041 and use Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) authorized spares and repair methods.
In order to ensure continued support to the HALIFAX Class until 2041, the use of OEM spares, authorized repair methods and licenced facilities is required under a performance based type of contract. Efforts are currently underway to determine the best procurement strategy to ensure performance.
