Objective
Upgrades and modernizes Defence’s materiel, acquisition and support as well as the financial and real property system of record. It is an integrated software tool used to conduct equipment and supply chain management activities such as the ordering of spare parts, tracking of supply commodities, and logging of maintenance work hours. In addition, it tracks financial transactions as well the real property management. The system also provide an integrated business analytics capability. This project is in pre-identification phase
Requirements
DRIMIS is currently on a DB2 database environment. SAP is moving in the direction of SAP S/4 HANA platforms which translates into data migration from a DB2 environment into S/4 HANA. Although this initiative is driven by the business, there are many technical drivers for moving the S/4 HANA. 1) Simplicity - New simplified processes and removal of unused functionality 2) Modern UI - use of FIORI technology which would improve the user experience , simplify business transactions and provide a united; approach to business 4) High database performance
