Objective
To upgrade Communications Navigation Surveillance Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) avionics systems to allow operations in future domestic and international airspace
Requirements
With impending changes to domestic and international airspace rules, many aircraft fleets and ground systems require numerous CNS/ATM upgrades. These upgrades consist of Performance Based Navigation certified GPS, Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast datalinks, and Mode S transponders to operate in civilian controlled airspace; and Identification Friend or Foe Mode 5 transponders to participate in coalition operations.
