Project Type

Project Replace

Objective

This project will improve the soldier's ability to operate in reduced visibility conditions with lower operator payload leveraging next generation technology.

Requirements

This project will address upcoming capability gaps in our current CAF Night Vision Equipment Fleet, including handheld thermal imagining systems, personal night vision devices, and laser aiming devices. It will obtain equipment with a higher resolution and integrate technological advances that are currently available. The project will deliver a new suite of dismounted night vision systems to the Canadian Army (CA) and Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) that will ensure soldiers and sailors maintain an edge when conducting combat operations in low light conditions.
