Right now, where I live, the weather is unseasonably warm. Harvest is harvesting along nicely for those trying to bring their crops in. School is back in full swing. Football and volleybal teams are filling up the weekends with cheers and great games. My family and I want to say thank you for all that you do for us. I thought of you all quietly today. We are on our Eastward trek back home to Ontario from Vancouver Island, and I wondered how much of our country you've seen between training a deployment? I had an uncle stationed at CFB Esquimalt when he was in the Navy, and years later he took us there to see it. I just drove by it again on this trip, and remembered his stories fondly. He flew trackers off the HMCS Bonaventure, and SeaKings when they were new. He saw most of Canada this way, but always found his way home. Your family at home misses you.
