Dear, Canadian Armed Forces Thank you for risking your lives and leaving your families and friends to protect us, people you have never even met. you have made the ultimate sacrifice to save others. Thank you. You demonstrate the highest levels of bravery and selflessness as well as courage and pride. You are so strong and admirable for your ability to persevere. Although I am not making as much of a difference as you, This year I will honour you and those no longer with us by attending a service, wearing a poppy, and donating to the veterans food bank. Thank you for your service Sincerely Seren

Dear Soldier, My name is Maggie and I am 13 years old. As Remembrance Day is close, we have been studying the history of Remembrance Day and poppies. I'm so thankful to live in a country that's free from war and we have freedom. This would not be our history without the sacrifice of so many men and women. Thank you for defending our country and helping to keep peace in other parts of the world. We will never forget, Maggie

Dear solder, I hope you're doing well. Do you mind answering these questions, what position are you, how long have you been in service? What was the biggest challenge you have and did you overcome it if you did how? I hope that you stay safe.

RCL Whitby, Ontario Branch 112 - 05/11/2023

Hello from the Whitby, Ontario RCL Branch 112. We want to let the members of our Canadian military currently serving know that during this time of remembrance we are thinking of you as well. Special thoughts and prayers for safe passage to those serving overseas!

I would like to extend my ultimate appreciation for the things that you have to endure for the safety of our country. I completed my basic training in 2002, but I was too juvenile to continue. I have endured my share of loss, and I wish that I had continued my career in the Canadian military in some capacity since then. I suffer from depression, and I always remind myself of the people defending our country and what they are going through. And by comparison, my problems seem a little smaller. So, thank you for being brave, thank you for defending our country. And thank you for being a source of inspiration to so many. The work you do, is irreplaceable.

Dear Troops, My name is Thien. I am 12 years old, live in Calgary, Alberta, and enjoy learning about war. I just wanted to thank you all for your service in the army for us. As I am writing this message, it's saturday, November 4th. I was reading some WWII books the other day and came across a fact that said that Canada had the toughest army in the allied forces. Wow! That's what I call an accomplishment! Even though I somewhat doubt some seasoned veterans from the past are still there with you, keep up the good work! I'm praying for you all to stay safe out there, and hope that you have a blessed remembrance day. -Thien N

Kaylee - 03/11/2023

This is a message to the troops. Thanks for keeping Canada safe and peaceful. My name is Kaylee I’m a grade 7 student in Sault Ste. Maire. I’m writing this to say thanks for all that you’ve done to make Canada a better place. My great grandpa served in the air force and my grandma said that he would always talk about this. I wanted to share it with you because this has probably happened to one of you and if it hasn’t well that’s good anyway it was his first flight and him and his friends were supposed to go on but my papa (that’s what we called him.) decided to go on an earlier flight to surprise his friends at the airport, but sadly the plane that his friends were on got shot down by a missile and killed them all. I hope that didn’t happen to one of you but if it did, I’m sorry and I’m also sorry that you had to leave your family, friends and pets just to make Canada better. Kaylee S.

Dear Canadian Troops, Please accept my deepest thanks for your service! I am a grade 7/8 teacher in Sault Ste. Marie. Since the work you do is so important, my class has been learning about the various jobs that Canadian military personnel carry out, from chefs to soldiers, both in the past and present. As we prepare for Remembrance Day, know that Canadians, including children, are grateful for your service and personal sacrifice. Wishing you success, health and happiness. Thank you!

Supreeya L - 03/11/2023

Hello! My name is Supreeya. I am a grade eight student from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. I am incredibly excited and thankful to be writing this letter to anyone who is working in the Canadian military. I just moved to Canada a year and a half ago, I’m originally from Thailand. I have learnt so many interesting things about the Canadian history. Remembrance Day is coming soon, our school is having a ceremony on the ninth of November, since that is the closest can get to Remembrance Day. We, as in all the Canadian citizens, are very grateful to have you all represent and protect our country for any danger that the country encounters. I would like to take this moment to express my gratitude to all the people who are working in the Canadian military; Including chefs who cook for soldiers and other people, mechanic who take care of all the equipment. I know it must be very hard to live out of your comforts zone and far away from your family although I do not know how it feels but I definitely cannot imagine myself working a job that comes with many sacrifices, I really admire your bravery of sacrificing yourself for millions of people out there.
