I am Tania Singh, and I am 16 years old and currently attending Jasper Place High School in Edmonton, Alberta. I was born in India and moved to Canada at the age of nine. I am fluent in three languages, Hindi, Punjabi, and English, and studied French until grade 12. I have been living in Edmonton since then, and I consider this my home. Outside of being a highschool student, I enjoy dancing and am a part of the Jasper Place POM team. In my spare time, I spend time with my family and friends and enjoy reading. Your hard work and determination have helped us all live peaceful lives. You have shown passion, resilience, and respect for your nation Canada. I am filled with gratitude for your service and sacrifice. Thank you for defending and dedicating your blood, sweat, and tears to our country. We understand the risks you take for the safety of us. Words can not express how grateful I am for your service. I wish for the world to be filled with peace and understanding, where everyone’s differences are celebrated. May the members of the armed forces find strength, courage, and safety for your noble service. I hope for a future where love and compassion prevail, bringing harmony to all.

Chealsy - 01/11/2023

Dear, Canadian Armed Forces, Good day! My name is Chealsy and I'm studying at Jasper Place high school Edmonton and I just moved to Canada. I am a Christian and I love to pray for people that I'm really thankful for. I used to just pray about my family and friends but I realized as I looked around, there’s a lot of people and families who need a prayer. Today, I just realized that soldiers need prayers as well. I just want to take this opportunity to thank you for being passionate and dedicated to serving Canada. I know it takes so much bravery and sacrifices to be one of the Canadian Armed Forces but I just want you to know that we appreciate your work. We want you to know that every fight you fought, we are really grateful. All the sweat, blood, and tears it took you just to give us freedom and a peaceful life is a lot and we will forever be thankful. I wish and I pray for you to be safe as you serve the country and I really wish that you will go home safely and be with the people you love. I know how your family loves and misses you so much. I will pray that every battle and challenges you guys will face will be a victory and lastly, I wish you guys will always take care of yourself as you took care of your country. Stay safe and always remember that everyone appreciates you!

Seerat - 01/11/2023

Dear members of the Canadian Armed forces, I write to you, to thank and give my respect, to show my appreciation and admiration towards the honorable men and women fighting today for Canada. My name is Seerat and I’m a student from Alberta, who goes to the Cadet program. I feel immense gratitude and would like to give recognition towards everyone, air, army and navy as they’ve all worked very, very hard for this country. As a student, I have access to education, clean and healthy food and accessible water, and I understand how hard it is to live off one MRE per day, do vigorous physical training/activity all the while keeping a “good-to-go” mindset and attitude. For that I'm proud to call myself a citizen of Canada, and I am proud to say that we have such responsible and venerable individuals serving our country. I want to give recognition to everyone in the forces and give high regards to their sacrifices, their vulnerability and strength. I can only imagine what it’s like to leave one's family for such a long period of time as I personally could never, and for these personal actions, your own actions do not go unnoticed and are very much appreciated. Members of the Canadian Armed forces are open to one of the greatest vulnerability, losing one's life, to bargain for such a limbo, I give full credit for the sacrifice and love towards this sun-stroked country. So for that please accept my deepest gratitude. Seerat, a fellow Canadian

Thank you for your service.

Mehmet - 01/11/2023

Hello my name is Mehmet I was born in Turkiye. Soldiers are so important for us and all Turkish boys when a child wants to be a soldier wants to go to the army. When we grow up and we are adults like eighteen we have to go to the army and we need to learn how we can be soldiers how we can shoot and army discipline. Because all boys are born with this we can't be soldiers. We are born with this. I am always respectful to soldiers. Because they are doing too many important things like saving people and they are trying to end the war on the world. Thank you for your dedication to protecting us as a soldier. I appreciate the work you do.

Raman - 01/11/2023

Dear Member of the Canadian Forces, My name is Raman. I was born in Windsor, Ontario and I am 15 years old. I am a student from Jasper Place High School in Edmonton. I would like to acknowledge your bravery for fighting and all of the contributions you have made for our country and the Canadian citizens. I would like to thank you for protecting our country. It takes a lot of courage and strength to serve in the military and I think that your bravery is really inspiring. I think that mental health is very important and one hope I have is that we all pay attention more to our feelings and ask for help when we need it. I know that a lot of people who serve in the military suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or take their lives. Serving is not easy at all and not many people are brave enough to do it, but you were, therefore I would like to thank you for your service. Raman

In my religion, I believe that God will soon wipe out every bad things happening right now and I would like to share with you this scripture I read when I feel that the world only gets worse everyday: Revelation 21:4 “God will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away”. Thank you for everything and I hope you find this as reassuring as I do.
