Dear veteran,
I am a Grade 4 student from St. Stephen Catholic School in Stittsville, Ontario. I would like to say thank you for keeping Canada safe. I am thankful when you fight for Canada and save a lot of people. I also thank you for when you fight for Canada and might die or get hurt.
Every Remembrance Day, I draw a poppy, or my sister makes a little book out of paper. Me and my family always get some poppies, and me and my brother are in the kids’ Royal Navy. I am learning how to march, too.
Thank you for saving our country.
From,
Selina

I am very grateful for all the work you've done for us, to have spent your life to defend us and to risk your life to protect our country. You have to say bye to your friends and family and not see them during a long time. I think it's can make you feel sad but happy in the same time. Because i cannot imagine myself saying goodbye to my famaily without knowing if i will see them again, i'm very proud of your courage.

Hi, I'm a Grade 4 student, and I just wanted to say thank you for keeping Canada safe.
I am thankful for all the things you did in Canada to keep us safe from war. Thank you very much for working hard and keeping us away from war, and thank you for helping keep peace.I wear a poppy on Remembrance Day, and I put my head down for silence and try to remember Remembrance Day. I’m thankful for all the sacrifices that the soldiers did and also the ones who got injured. I like the safety in Canada. I feel safe because all the soldiers in Canada protect the country and they're really strong. I am really grateful for what you did and all the sacrifices that the soldiers did. We will always remember your courage.

Dear Veteran,
I am a grade 4 student at St. Stephen’s Catholic School, and I would like to say thank you for protecting Canada and saving us all! We all owe you this thanks for saving us all, and even though you had to leave your families, you still chose to save us all and that makes me grateful. To all those who have died, I'm grateful for all you've done for us. You tried your best, you made a big difference.
Every year, me and my family get together on Remembrance Day and we would buy a bunch of poppies. Then we have a big dinner, and we are so grateful for my grandpa because he was a soldier and he survived. So every year we have a big dinner to remember.
I just can't believe some of you gave your lives. So I'm very grateful and thankful that I'm still standing and breathing on this planet because of you. I am so grateful and thankful that I'm breathing on this planet right now and I just can't believe some of you risked your lives for us and the sacrifice you made for us and everything. So we owe you a huge thank you.
Thank you again for your courage and sacrifice. We will never forget what you’ve done for us.
From a Grade 4 Student,
St. Stephen’s Catholic School
Sincerely, Sofia.

Hi there, I’m in grade 4 from St. Stephen. I’m sending this to a soldier for Remembrance Day to thank you for all the things you did for us.
Thank you for your sacrifice so we can live in peace. You gave up so much for us, and that means a lot. It takes a huge amount of courage to go to war, like in World War I and II. I admire your bravery for facing such difficult times. I thank all veterans because you helped so many people live in peace. I also learned about veterans like John McCrae, who wrote “In Flanders Fields” to help us remember your sacrifices. It makes me sad that people like you had to do so many things for us.
On Remembrance Day, I stand quietly for 2 minutes of silence and listen to “In Flanders Fields” at school. Doing this helps me remember and honour you and all veterans. These acts are very important because we want to thank you.
From Krishnav.
