Hi, I am a student in a middle school soon transitioning to high school. I moved from lots of countries and cities but the best, inclusive, safest, and peaceful country I have been to is here in Canada. In my life, I have seen many car accidents and fights people have caused or been stuck in, but none compared to the incidents that have happened during the wars and fights that the troops have had to handle. Because of the troops, we live in a safe peaceful environment.
Like the lyrics in “Oh, Canada,” they sing “God keep our land, glorious and free.” I believe that the Canada we live on now has changed so much because of the impact the Canadian troops have caused. This is why, every time we listen to “Oh, Canada” on the announcements, it takes me back to all the Remembrance Day videos and how hard the troops worked for the sake of Canada and the future generations. This takes me to “True patriot love” in “Oh, Canada.” Where these words are truly true. I’d like to thank all the troop members for their services and their dedication in protecting our country. I would like to thank the previous troops for sacrificing their own families and lives for our sake. May they find peace. And may the troops now live in a peaceful, warm, and loving state. And may they also find happiness with family and others.

To anybody in the armed forces who reads this,
Hi. How’s it going? My teacher told us to write a letter to people in the military and thank them for the work they do for the country. Now don’t think I’m only saying thank you because my teacher told me to. I am very thankful that someone's protecting the country and making sure we’re safe, because I certainly don’t have the guts to do it. So, thank you for the work you do, and please keep on doing it. You protect our country, and I am eternally grateful.

I don't know how many people post these things, or send messages to you guys letting you know how awesome you are. I found out about this and decided "why not?". You put in so much hard work and we are forever grateful for that. I don't know if you're allowed to respond to this, but I have a question. What do you prefer? Books or movies? Dear Troops, thank you for leaving your home to protect this amazing country that we all live in, thank you for risking your lives to save others that you don't know, it must be very hard to be apart from your little one and loved ones but remember that by being part of this you are keeping them safe too not just the country or other people but your family too and I assure you there very thankful for that.
