I would love to hear all the stories you have about your time away. I hope you're able to enjoy your time overseas, and I hope it's somewhere warm. Your choice to protect our country truly means you can do anything. You are so strong, so powerful, and a true inspiration to everyone back home. I'm so thankful for everything you do. Thank you for keeping us all safe, and thank you for protecting your fellow soldiers and other members of the national defence. Thank you for bringing them home so we can hear the stories and reconnect with family and friends. Wearing a poppy makes me so proud to be a part of this wonderful nation, as it reminds me of the wonderful men and women who sacrifice themselves every day to keep me safe at home. I am cheering you on every step of the way if you ever feel scared. I am cheering you on from Edmonton, Alberta, and I hope you feel appreciated for your efforts every single day. I hope you can go back soon and spend lots of time with your family and friends. I hope one day to be as selfless as you are. Your courage is truly inspiring. Never forget how important, amazing and resilient you are.

Hello! I hope you are safe and happy. You are always loved and appreciated. I'm writing this with the hope to make you smile, so here's a joke:
Whenever a solider goes to the bathroom, their rank changes to loo-tenant.
Whether that made you smile or cringe, it's the thought that counts haha. I just wanted to do something different. Thank you for your service and stay safe!

Dear solider,
Thank you for keeping us safe every single day, and thank you for making us feel protected every night we go to sleep. Your bravery, hard work, long days, late nights, and determination does not go overlooked. Courage isn't a strong enough word to describe how you serve and fight for our nation. Whether your contributions be big or small, you are important. And without you, without YOU as an individual, our nation would not be the same. Canada is a safer place with you protecting it, and we appreciate you so much.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. God Bless you.

Dear Armed Forces,
Thank you for your service! I’m not sure where you are and who you are and neither do you know those things about me, but what I do know is that I am so incredibly grateful for all that you do. After starting university last year, I know what it's like to be far away from home and family, just overall comfort, and let me tell you. It is not easy, I don't know how you do it! I experienced 1% of what you experience on a daily basis, with so much uncertainty and it has truly changed my perspective on things. Thank you for choosing to be far away from those you love so that I can be close to mine. I hope you know that your family loves and cares for you, and so do I! We see you, and nothing you do goes unnoticed.

To those who serve Canada,
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for the brave and honourable service of the Canadian people in the armed forces. Your dedication towards protecting our country, its values, and its people is inspiring, and please know that I appreciate your sacrifice.
I am someone who loves to learn about history, and when visiting Vimy Ridge a few years ago, I was extremely taken aback by the sheer amount of emotion that swallows the monument. Being able to connect my learning to the real world made me further appreciate the sacrifice and valour of our service members.
I wish you all the best in the future, and thank you again for your service of our amazing country,
Grace

To those that have served us, or that continue to serve us, not only do we thank you, but we celebrate you! On November 11th we specially think about and honour all the lives that have been spent in service of our nation, in which we experience so many freedoms.

Dear Soldier,
Remembrance day is a day that we can appreciate and remember those who we have lost in battle and in the duty of serving our nation. There is not enough words nor letters than the entire nation as a whole could write to make up for the sacrifices and bravery that you commit every single day. Thank you for making our nation a safe place, and I am so sorry for the loss of any of your close companions in the army. You are among the most appreciated, loved, and respected of all of those in our nation. Not a day goes by that we shouldn't thank you. Your service, no matter how big or small, will not be unnoticed. Every action you take for our country helps to sustain the love and prosperous nation that we live in today. Thank you and God Bless you :)

You are a true hero. I hope that if you ever feel scared, just know that everyone back home is cheering you on, praying for you and truly values your strength and sacrifices. You represent what it means to be a true Canadian and I feel so proud when I wear a poppy, or am able to tell someone new that I am a Canadian. I envy your dedication, and hard work. You are the reason everyone back home can feel safe and live in harmony with one another. I hope you never have to question how truly appreciated you are. I hope you are somewhere warm, and near a beach and can enjoy the heat. It is starting to get very cold here in Alberta.
