I am a grade 4 student in Stittsville. I would like to say thank you for protecting Canada and going away from your family to help others. We always learn about it in school, and when I wear a poppy, I think of how the soldiers fought for our country. I feel very happy that I am in this community. What I love most about living in Canada is that there are so many nice people and usually they help each other out. Sometimes there aren’t those people, but I hope there will be a lot of people like that in the future too. Veterans helped make Canada a place where people can be kind and help each other. I feel grateful every day that I live here, and I might not be here if it weren’t for soldiers like you. I really appreciate what you have done and just really want to say thank you. From Brooklyn

En premier et avant tout, je voudrais dire que je suis reconnaissant aux personnes qui ont servi et a toutes les personnes qui ont perdu la vie pendant cette guerres. Je suis heureux de vivre une vie sans guerre ni violence, grâce a ces personnes qui ont pris une balle pour nous. Nous vous garderons toujours dans nos cœurs et passer le message a nos enfants et aux générations futures. Ce pays reste intact et porte haut son drapeau, fier de ses soldats qui se sont sacrifiés pour leur famille et leur pays. Nous n'oublierons jamais ce que vous avez fait. Je fais des efforts pour penser positivement à tout, et ne jamais regarder les autres en bas.

Je veut expresser mon gratitude vers les soldats et les membres de services courageux et honourables de notre pays. Vous avez nous donner votre humanité donc on peut vivre un autre jour. Vraiment, vos actions altruistes sont la fondation de nos vies. Dieu vous bénisse les familles des soldats de notre pays. Je vous écris cette lettre pour vous remercier de tout ce que vous avez fait pour ce pays. Je pense qu'il faut être très courageux pour risquer sa vie pour un pays dont la plupart des habitants sont des étrangers. Je me trouve extrêmement honorable de se battre pour la liberté de notre pays. C'est grâce à vous que les habitants de ce pays et d'autres pays vivent en liberté. You are really brave to do this and i'm pretty sure that everyone is proud of you. I know it's really hard to say goodbye to your familly but i'm sure that they think about you everyday.

You spent all your time battling through war for us to have a safe place on Earth. Thank you a lot, soldiers.I wear poppies every 11th of November at 11 o'clock and I really hope the ones who died are safely good in heaven.I feel safe because the soldiers keep our province safe from danger. On Remembrance Day people in my school wear poppies and stand up for a moment of silence to show respect on Remembrance Day. I really love living in Canada. Thank you all for what you have done for our country, the stuff you do for us is extraordinary all I have to say is keep up the good work. You are also all so brave and strong I don't know how I would survive out there. The people you're fighting for are your family and friends, but also random strangers that you may not even meet that's incredible.
