Dear veteran, I cannot begin to express my gratitude towards all the veterans that fought and are currently fighting for the freedom of the country. I am so lucky that I live in a country in which I have so many freedoms. I am grateful that I can live in peace without fear of war. That is all thanks to people like you and the millions of soldiers who risked, and gave their lives for freedom and peace.

I am 15 years old and I attend Jasper place high school, and am currently in 10 grade, on behalf of myself and jasper place school I would like to thank all of you guys for all the sacrifices and services that were taken for our country. We truly appreciate it and you will never be forgotten.
Thank you to all the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for us to live with freedom and purpose. Without them, war may still be an everyday aspect of many people, further adding to the existing lives lost.
I want to thank the armed forces for giving up their freedoms so that we can live our best lives without the worries of persecution and for allowing us to express ourselves freely, they don't only help make our home safe but help other people around the world have these same rights and freedoms that we take for granted.

Rememberance day to me means taking the time to recognize that the fallen didn’t pass for no reason, they did it for the benefit of they’re own country, and I think that’s incredibly selfless and courageous. It means to me that they won’t be remembered in vain but instead remembered in a light of eternal debt and love. It’s recognizing the families of the past that still suffer the rippling repercussions on war and recognizing how strong they are, but once again even more thanking the soldiers who served and the ones who continue to serve.
