Thank you for fighting for Canada

Trista - 08/11/2023

Dear Canadian Arm Forces Members and Veterans, I am a 12th grade student at Jasper Place High School. Waking up in the morning I wish I didn't have to go to school. I really don’t enjoy school but then I realise that I should be grateful for the fact that I get to go to school. You fight for my right to an education and I am thankful for that. My Great Grandma didn't get the right to a proper education because she was sent to a residential school. I think about the terrifying stories she has told me as a kid and it just makes me think about how easy I have my life. I'm sorry for the terror you have to go through so we can all be safe but I am so thankful for it. I will wear a poppy to honour everything you have done to fight for my freedom. Thank you. Sincerely, Trista

My name is Ben, I was born is Israel beer Sheva. I attend Jasper place high school I’m a student in the 11th grade. On my free time I enjoy to swim. I am extraordinarily thankful for all the one and half million troop that have sacrificed their for our freedoms. I’m thankful for the veterans who overcame many challenges in the uniform, including learning a new language, and adapting to different cultural differences to having to travel long distances from their remote communities to enlist. I’m thankful for the sacrifices they have made it possible for us to live freely and be able to express ourselves. I hope all the individuals currently serving in the Canadian military are staying safe. Know that the sacrifices they are making is what makes it possible for each and everyone one of us to live here together in Canada. Les we Forget.

Payton - 08/11/2023

Hi there, my name is Payton and I am I High school student in Edmonton. I enjoy being outside, being active, spending time with family and friends, watching movies, skiing, dancing and learning facts and interesting information of the past. What you have done is beyond words of thanks and graduate. You have put your life on the line for others, you risk your future and safety to give us a safer future. Your action are selfless and cherished and we thank you so much for everything you risk to give us a better. I hope that in the future there can be more of a better understanding of why this all happens and how all these wars and violent times occurred in the first places. I geuss just to be more educated on this kind of subject. Cause I do think its important to know why we honour the soldiers and have a better backstory and understanding of why. Thank you so much for all you have done to serve this country and everything you have given up for us to have. A million thanks and more, Payton
