i am a student from jasper place high school and i just wanted to take time out of my day to thank you guys for serving in the military and giving us a safe country to live and being able to go to school without being scared that we’ll be unsafe and i'm thankful that i can wake up everyday in my bed knowing i'm safe and a bomb isn’t flying past me, i hope that the whole world doesn’t take 2 steps back but looking at what’s been going on in the world like in palestine i don’t know

My Name is Sabra, I’m from afghanistan. I was 9 years old when me and my family flew out of afghanistan to live somewhere safe. My dad was in the army fighting in front lines everyday far from us, with my young age I would sleep, eat and dream of meeting him and him being safe. Now after almost 9 years we are here safe in Canada and I can't be more grateful. I want to thank all of you for fighting for our freedom and for our safety. Because of you, me and millions of kids are able to sleep peacefully and we will forever remember and appreciate your sacrifice. I hope safety and power to all of you, so you stand tall and brave. I want to remind you that all of us are very grateful for you and you are remembered everyday. Thank you.
As a high school student lives in Edmonton, I feel a deep connection to this city and the values it represents. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with friends, exploring the beautiful nature in our area, and learning about different cultures. Today, on Remembrance Day, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to the brave men and women who have served in the Armed Forces. Their selflessness and dedication have made our world a safer place, and I am truly thankful for their sacrifices. Their service has allowed us to enjoy the freedom and peace we have today. My hope is that we can continue to honor and support the members of the Armed Forces, both past and present. I wish for a world where peace prevails, where conflicts are resolved through understanding and dialogue, and where the sacrifices made by our servicemen and women are always remembered and appreciated. Veterans: I am a high school student in Edmonton. I was born and raised here. Thank you for your service. You protect our country so we can keep our peaceful way of life here, and I am always grateful for that. With your risks and sacrifices, I and my friends and family can live our lives without fear and I can go to university to learn and live a better life. Thank you. I hope that the people serving can stay as safe as they can, and can return home to their friends and family after serving. I hope that the conflicts currently happening in the world can end, so citizens and soldiers can find peace and safety.
