Dear Member of the Canadian Forces,
My name is Juliana, and I am a University student in Canada. I would like to take a moment to express my gratitude for your service. Thank you for your courage and dedication to our great country. Because of your strength and sacrifice, Canadians like myself can live peacefully and safely. I can go to school and learn because of your commitment.
As a student, I want to ensure I don’t take for granted the freedom and stability that allow us to focus on our goals and dreams. Your work, whether at home or overseas, helps protect those very privileges. I admire the resilience and strength that come with being part of the Canadian Forces. It’s inspiring to know that there are people who choose to put service above self in order to protect others.
I hope you know how deeply appreciated you are, not only by those close to you but by all Canadians. Please know that your efforts do not go unnoticed. I wish you safety, strength, and moments of peace.
Thank you once again for all that you do for our country. You make a difference every single day, and I’m sincerely grateful for your service.
Sincerely,
Juliana

Dear Veteran,
Thank you dearly for the sacrifice you made to our country, Canada. Your hard work and dedication will forever be respected. I appreciate how much you have sacrificed yourself for us, and others. It was probably very difficult for you and your family. Thank you for everything.
Because of your sacrifice you and others have given us freedom to learn, have fun, and go outside to play. Your sacrifice has reminded me to appreciate life, peace, and freedom.
Freedom to me, means the ability to go outside without worry, and to go to a safe school to learn and grow. Because of you , me and all other Canadians, have the ability to do just this.
Thank you deeply for all of your service. We appreciate you immensely.
Sincerely,
Presley

Dear Canadian soldiers,
I’m a grade 6 student in Markham and I’d like to thank you dearly for serving the country, defending our homes, and sacrificing your very life for Canada. I know it’s hard to be in the army because my dad was in the Taiwanese army and so was my grandpa. . Your family must be worried sick about you, and so am I. Even though I do not know who you might be, I will be praying for you and your fellow comrades in the army. Through this digital message, I would like to pray for you and the others, and I will be saying this prayer every day: Dear God, I pray for all the soldiers and veterans that risked or is risking their life to defend Canada for its glory, They went through a lot of pain and war, I pray that they will be able to return home to their family or close friend, or even their partner. As for the ones who sadly passed while defending Canada, I pray they arrived in Heaven to be with God himself.

Though more than a century has passed, your bravery and service are not forgotten. You remind us of the strength of the human spirit and the importance of standing together in difficult times.

Letter of Appreciation to the Families of Our Veterans and Military Members
To the Families of Our Brave Service Members,
In recognition of Veterans and Military Family Appreciation, I want to express my deepest gratitude for the sacrifices you make each day. Your dedication, strength, and unwavering support allow your loved ones to serve with courage and honor. You, too, serve this country—through the time you give, the moments you miss, and the resilience you show.
Thank you for standing behind those who defend our nation, our values, our rights, and the freedoms of others around the world. The burdens you carry are often unseen, but they are profoundly felt and deeply respected.
May God bless your hearts, strengthen your spirit, and encourage you to never lose hope. You may not always see the impact of your sacrifice, but it is real. The world is a safer and better place because of the service and commitment shared within your families.
With sincere appreciation and respect,
Thank you.

Dear Troops,
I’m writing this letter for you to encourage you to keep going. First, let me introduce myself. Hi, I’m a grade 6 student in Markham. I’m writing this letter for Remembrance day and for my writing grade. But, I’m not trying to make this good for my grade, I’m making it good because I care.
I hope you are safe in whatever area you are stationed in, from the arctic circle to Downtown Toronto. I also hope you can see your family and your friends. I’m very thrilled we get to celebrate your sacrifice to give us world peace.
I also hope we can celebrate you for more than just one day, like a whole month dedicated to you! You don’t know how much we appreciate you and how much you mean to us all over Canada. Thank you for your hard work in protecting this country. I also want to thank you for being the best version of yourself by having a kind heart and joining the army.
Now, you may not be a Christian but I am, and I want to share my favorite Bible verse with you, “Let us not become weary in doing good, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up ( Galatians 6:9)”. That verse was about not giving up, just like how you shouldn’t. Overall I want to thank you for all that you do. And don't give up!
Sincerely, Felicia

I think you are heroes because you have no fear to go into battle. You are the reason Canada is the proud, strong country it is I admire you so much because I would be too timid and scared to go into battle. I am sorry that you had to leave your families and risk your lives for our country. I bet your family and relatives are extremely proud of you. I am also sorry for the friends you lost in the battle. William - 07/11/2025
Hi soldiers, thank you for your service. You fight so we can be free and have fun. You fight so we can be safe. You are brave and tough; you should be proud. You help hundreds every day and you sacrifice so much. We will remember you, thank you for your service.
Kayley - 07/11/2025
Dear Canadian Armed Forces,
I would like to thank you for many reasons. First, you’ve made many sacrifices just by joining the army. You knew the risks but still you joined. Second, you put your lives in danger to protect others even if they are people who you don’t know at all. You put others before yourself, too. I truly admire the selflessness and courage that you demonstrate!
Finally, you help the community, like when there is a major earthquake or when there is a giant wildfire. During those times, you help save the lives of the people in danger. You also assist in the rebuilding of an area damaged by natural disasters and wars. Sometimes, when there is tension between countries you go there and help sort things out and keep the peace between countries. You are all amazing peacekeepers!
Whether shoveling snow or fighting in dangerous wars, your service is appreciated by Canadians everywhere. Thank you!!! (P.S. I am a sixth grader in Richmond Hill, Ontario… at least I think I am in Richmond Hill.)
Sincerely,
Kayley
