The inspiration for the poem below stemmed from my recent milestone—I officially became a Canadian a few weeks ago. I felt compelled to pen down these verses as a celebration of the heroes who made this remarkable journey possible. FOR THE HEROES WHO MADE IT ALL POSSIBLE In a land so vast and free, I found my home anew, A black immigrant, now Proudly Canadian As a black immigrant in this land, I stand with pride today, To honor those who gave it all, on Remembrance Day. They left their homes, their loved ones, for a world unknown, To ensure our rights, our freedoms, seeds of unity were sown. Regardless of our colors, gender, beliefs, in this diverse array, They fought for all, a brighter day, on Remembrance Day. For every veteran's sacrifice, I offer thanks so true, They paved the way, a path we tread, to skies of endless blue. With gratitude in our hearts, forever we'll say, We'll never forget your selfless deeds, on Remembrance Day. In Canada's embrace, we stand as one, in love and harmony, For the veterans who shaped this land, we celebrate with Euphony. Dear Veterans, Thank you for all that you sacrificed in order for our country to be the way it is now. Because of your bravery and courage, Canada has become a better country. You helped in pushing for our freedom and rights and I cannot thank you enough for all you have been through. I am so grateful for you and your courage.

Today in class I learned that aboriginal veterans were treated unfairly and weren't acknowledge for your serving our country. I am very sorry for that. Thank you all for helping our country.

Hi troops from the Canadian Armed forces. Thank you for protecting Canada and making are lives better and less conflicts. Indigenous people and every other Canadian who fought in the WW2 deserve better and should have better care, you people gave us freedom, equality, and peace to all in Canada. Canada wouldn't be a better place without you guys, sacrificing yourself to help Canada. At our school, we honor the indigenous people who fought and were not noticed or given any credit. for you, Jayden.
