Dear Veteran I hope whoever is reading this knows that you should be so proud of yourself every time you wake up. You have put your hard work and dedication to our country with pride from the kindness out of your heart. I thank you immensely for your service. I am so grateful for your bravery and courage for signing up with honor. You and however many others you served with have each made our amazing country a little better each day. You have put up with the emotional and physical struggles of being a veteran and fought through the best you can which is astounding. You have lived life with stories to tell and memories to look back on that will never be forgotten. People will leave to tell your stories from how amazing you were when you served and still are. I want to thank you for your hard work. I want to thank you for the battles won or lost. I want to thank you for helping others. I want to thank you for your bravery and courage. I want to thank you for being you. You are an amazing person and I want you to remember that. From Neve!
Dear veteran, I am so grateful for your services and bravery. The only reason that Canada is a free country and safe to live in is because of you and all you do. I found that when I was younger I just thought that all people that served were normal people but you guys are super heroes in real life. I do not know how to show you how grateful I am for you and all that you have done for Canada. I know I do not know you personally but I believe that you are an amazing person and that you are braver than anyone I have ever known. If you think about it, it is crazy how many lives you have saved and have had an impact on even if you have never met them. I hope you know even if you don’t feel loved that you are loved by the inter country. I just want to say thank you one more time for all you do and that I am so thankful for you. Love, Cassie
Dear veteran, I would like to thank you so much for your bravery and determination to help protect our country, you are the reason our country is so safe and protected and we deeply appreciate it. You have earned so much honor and respect from our country, you are so brave to volunteer to protect our country. When I was younger I didn't quite understand everything you do when you serve but now that I'm getting older I understand everything you do to protect and defend us and you are so brave to be doing it all. I don’t think I can even begin to understand how hard it must be, but you are supported by the whole country and everyone is grateful for everything you do. And always remember that God is with you throughout everything, and that he loves you and will take care of you no matter what.
Dear Veterans and current soldiers. I would like to thank you for your service, the blood (quite literally), sweat and tears you have given to this country. The sacrifices you not only made that would not only affect you in the moments of battle but for the rest of your years here in this country you fought for do not go unnoticed nor unappreciated. Without the great force made possible by each and every one of you the world as we know it would not be the same. You have all made the world a better place. And to our current soldiers, stay strong. The threat of a third world war is always looming over us all, and we truly need your strength and skill in these difficult times. You are all an inspiration to today's youth and giving everyone peace of mind and a feeling of security knowing we have your forces to protect us. Thank you for protecting our country and keeping us all safe.
I'm not too sure what to write here but. Hi! I'm Erica. I am a grade 8 student currently writing this on my laptop at 4:30 am because I figured out how to get into my student account through my home laptop! But that's beside the point. I'm here to thank you for everything you've done for our country and the place we live in, or just the world in general. I know i might just be a 13-year-old girl living purely off instant noodles but I'm hoping my letter still means something in your heart. But a must ask... What Branch are you in? Army, Marine Corps, Airforce, Space Force, Navy? If one day you can ever message me back and give me a sign, I'd be joyous. Maybe you can even tell me your favorite animal. And potentially I'll draw it for you! I am studying art and physics too so I can maybe get into animation or an art school someday! Maybe one day. One day we can see each other. Near the end of this essay, I hope I made a difference for you. Even if I didn't, at least I gave it a shot. Goodbye fellow Soldier!
Hello, Happy Remembrance Day! I just wanted to send some encouragement your way. Your strength, dedication, and compassion make Canada a better place for all of us. Please know that we honour you today and every day, whether through a poppy on our chest, a quiet moment of reflection, or words like these. You are appreciated, celebrated, and remembered. With heartfelt thanks and a smile :)
Hello :) As Remembrance Day approaches, I want to take a moment to thank you for your service, courage, and sacrifice. Your commitment to protecting our nation and preserving peace means more than words can express. I deeply admire the strength it takes to serve, often far from family and home. Please know that your efforts do not go unnoticed — you are appreciated, respected, and remembered every day. You remind me that leadership isn’t just about words, it’s about action, courage, and compassion. Your dedication inspires young people like me to serve our communities in our own ways. Thank you for your continued service to our communities and our country. With gratitude and respect,

Dear Canadian Heroes, Thank you for your contribution in ensuring our safety, as well others around the world. You provide an excellent example for future generations. Dear armed forces, I am a student at the University of Alberta and recently I have been reflecting on your dedication towards our country. Thank you for all that you have done and continue to do for our country. I am so grateful for all that you have done for us. Your courage to give our country peace and freedom does not go unnoticed and I so grateful for the efforts that you make. Thank you again
I am proud to call myself Canadian and a huge part of that is the fact that we have an amazing Armed Forces that keeps peace within our country. I am forever grateful to the incredible members of the Canadian Armed Forces who have provided so much to every member of this country. Your dedication allows Canadians like me to live in safety and freedom. On behalf of all Canadians, thank you for your service.
Dear armed forces, I want to take a second and thank you for all your efforts. Learning about all your sacrifices and taking time specifically around Remembrance day to do so is something that I believe is crucial to do. Ever since elementary school it has tried to show appreciation for you and put in the fraction of effort that you do for me. Whether it was reciting In Flanders Fields in choir or listening to a veterans experience, it is always a remarkable and grounding experience. You inspire me to take all the opportunities I am given in life and make the most out of what I am given. Thank you again for everything
Wow, I think you may have the coolest job ever. I hope you think the same. You are a true hero, and are even cooler than the super-heros that they have in movies. Sacrificing your self for your nation, people you do not even know?!?! Thats amazing. I hope to one day have the same courage that you do. Deciding to be away from your family and friends and working a job that truly challenges you 24/7. I hope you can go back home soon to the people you care about, or hopefully you are surrounded by many friends and family where you currently are and feel proud of what you do. You always appreciated here and we are always back home cheering you on. If you ever feel lonely, know I am at home proud of you, appreciating you and think of you all the time. I hope you never doubt how strong, courageous and amazing you are. You are the reason Canadians are strong and free. I hope you have seen some pretty cool places, and have some good memories and are able to enjoy what you do. I think you are the bravest person ever being able to do what you have done. I hope you never question for a second how important you are and how much you mean to everyone back home. I hope you have really cool stories to share and get to have some fun every once and a while.
