I recently just read the book Generals Die In Bed; the description of the trench warfare was horrifying. I can tell that soldiers were not happy during WWI for sure, but some people back on the home front don't want the war to end, earning money using soldiers' lives. I also learned that WWI was an important war for Canada to enforce its national identity. Before Canada was considered part of Britain, but during WWI, our generals won a lot of significant battles, which shows that we're also considered a strong country.

Hi. I'm new to being a military pen pal so I don't really know how to start. A bit about me I guess. I used to live on a small hobby farm, I enjoy fishing, campfires, just relaxing by a lake. I'm kind of a cat lady but I also have a goofy 6 or 7 year old dog. I write a bit, poems mostly. I'm a casual offline gamer too. My go-to is Skyrim or Stardew Valley. Thank you for always protecting our nation even through the hard moments. Thank you for your bravery. Dear soldiers thank you for serving our country. At the end of the day you will still be a hero even with many challenges like, the dangers of getting injured from the battlefields, it must be really scary. There is surely a lot more of other challenges like being away from your family for so long you're very courageous. Thank you.

You served your country, you should feel proud of everything you did. Being without my family for a long time would be for me very difficult. Living with memories haunting your head forever is hard. But you did it. You and maybe some of your friends or colleague accomplished it. Thank you, and never stop believing in you.
