Dear member of the Canadian Armed Forces, I hope this letter comes to you safely. I want to thank you for your service in the army and all the hard work that you have done. I am proud of heroes like Billy Bishop and Elsie Macgill and lots of other heroes for all their hard work and that they died for us. I am proud that they are Canadian and that I am too. I also recognize all those who do ceremonies that help us remember and pay tribute to the sacrifices of all who have served. I always respect the veterans and their stories like Acts of Valour and camaraderie and loss and I recognize that people did lose their comrades and I know that they would be really sad but we will always recognize that they fought to uphold peace and security and I am proud of that. I especially wanted to write a letter because everyone knows what you do and it's not an easy job and I just want to say people always see the good things you guys do and I thank you for protecting our country and others around the world. As well, with all the fires happening in our country, I thank you for not giving up and for helping to protect this beautiful country. Thank you. Maybe you are still fighting in peacekeeping missions or fighting the aftermath of a war, either way please know that you are valued by all Canadians. It takes a simple decision to join the army, but it is a whole other thing to fight in a war. Only the bravest have the courage to do so and the smartest survive.
