Dear Canadian Armed Forces, I’m writing to you all the way from my home, West Africa. We have never met, and you probably don’t know me, but I wanted to send you a little piece of kindness from very far away. Behind every uniform is a real person — someone who gets tired, misses home, laughs, worries, dreams, and sometimes just needs to hear: “You are not forgotten.” So today, here is your reminder: Someone on the other side of the world is thinking of you and wishing you safety, strength, good health and many reasons to smile. And here’s a little African rule: If you can’t solve everything today, at least take a moment to smile. After all, a smile costs nothing, takes only a few seconds, and somehow makes a difficult day feel a little lighter. I hope you have people around you who make you laugh, even on the days when you don’t feel like laughing. And if this message makes even one of you smile for a few seconds, then my little mission from my home is already a success. May you stay safe, find peace in difficult moments, and always remember that there are people far away who genuinely wish you the very best. Dear Canadian Armed Forces, Thank you for all the sacrifices you guys have made for the comfort and safety of our country. From the hard training days to the exhausting sleepless nights thank you for stepping up for our country. Being the backbone of our country, you guys make the biggest impact, even when at times we as Canadians we take it for granted, your hard work will never go unnoticed. All the effort, courage, bravery, perseverance and so many more character traits you guys demonstrate everyday inspires so many other individuals all across Canada to do the same. Being away from your family and everything that is familiar to you is a huge sacrifice and commitment that many people wouldn’t be willing to do. Going outside of your comfort zone for the safety of others show the level of bravery you guys demonstrate. Growing up in a country knowing that we have the CAF has our back and keeps us safe every single day is a privilege that not everyone has. Being able to wake up and go to school, work, etc, and not having to worry about your safety is a luxury we Canadians have because of you guys, the Canadian Armed Forces.

Dear Canadian Armed Forces, There are little moments that make Canada feel like home: a cold morning walk to school, laughing with friends, sitting around the dinner table, or watching the Canadian flag move in the wind. We get to experience these moments so often that we sometimes forget how special they are. While we are busy living our everyday lives, you are serving ours. Your work reaches people you may never meet, in places you may never see. Somewhere, a family is making memories, a child is growing up, and someone is dreaming about their future. I hope you know that your service is part of those moments too. So, from someone who gets to enjoy those ordinary days, thank you for making them possible!

Dear Canadian Armed Forces, Thank you for being the people we can, as a country, always count on. I don’t know many people who are brave enough to join the military, so you guys are, in a way, the gold standard of bravery! Although not all jobs require standing on a battlefield, the courage to join is nevertheless the same, and so is the impact. Although not everyone knows about the work that you do, that doesn’t make it any less important. Everyday, Canadians go to sleep with the comfort and reassurance that the CAF has their back. Everyday, we go to work or school knowing that we are safe because of you. Everyday, we have the freedom to go outside and go on carefree strolls because of the sense of comfort that you bring by simply existing. To join the military is to put others, strangers even, above yourself. To join is to be stationed away from your home and family and everything that was familiar to you. To join is to stray away from the easy path and do the hard thing instead. Because of that, respect is an understatement of how much of an inspiration and motivation you are to Canadians. So whenever you’re feeling down, just remember that you impact Canadians everyday, whether it’s being the bravest of the brave or just simply knowing that you bring peace of mind to people all over the country.

Every moment means a lot from all of us, and we recognize and respect everything you’ve done. Your services helps our communities during times when support is needed. It can be supporting Canada or abroad, responding to emergencies, or just carrying out your responsibilities, your efforts make a difference. The amount of responsibility of completing tasks and remaining committed even when times get difficult, is truly respected and thanked. Being a member of the Canadian Armed Forces requires a lot of hard work and commitment. Whether it’s training or preparing that comes from your work, it requires discipline and strength. I am writing this letter to thank you for the service you have provided to Canada. I want to thank you for the time and effort you have put in. You must have made sacrifices along the way, and I just want to let you know that we appreciate it, whatever that sacrifice may be. A lot of people are under the impression that being in the army is all about fighting, but really it is about bringing peace to our country. This can be in various ways, like providing healthcare, school supplies, or necessities to those who need them. Being able to give up things that we love is an amazing thing to do, which not a lot of people can, so thank you for doing this for Canada. hello, I just want to say You were all beautiful you work so hard to work and save our lives and our freedom. and I just want to say thank you for all your service that every one of you do. you're all absolutely. just beautiful and I want to thank you. but I also want you to know that you are loved. no matter where you are, you are always thought of my heart goes into every single one of you. and remember at the end of the day you're all humans. you're not tools. you're humans with feelings and it's okay to not be okay. but keep your heads up out there no matter what happens, no matter what you get into you're thought of and you are beautiful be strong out there. you may see things or get into things that could cause you PTSD but remember you'll get through it. there is help. just keep your heads up out there guys and Gals you will get through this and you will be okay and you are strong and I'm not meaning muscle wise. I meaning willpower keep that head up you're gorgeous! you're absolutely a beautiful human being I love you ??????
