Soldiers often get overlooked The responsibility of defending their country that they took Keeping a straight face on the brink of crying Being told to never be scared and to give it your all You still give when nothing is left to be given No one is as strong as you Saying goodbye to your family and yourself too As you go on the battlefield and can’t help but wonder if you make it back To all the soldiers out there that must watch their back The terror and nightmares that follows The fear and weakness that must be bottled You have seen gruesome things that others only see on television Bless your eyes and soul for protecting our children A hand for a hand A heart for a heart Soldiers have given theirs so that others may keep on beating Thank you for all the soldiers that get overlooked Because Canada wouldn’t be this place without you

Hello troops! First of all, I just wanted to say thank you for all of your hard work and determination. However, war could get depressing so this letter will be more on the fun side! I hope you are doing well and that you are trying your best to be uplifting during these times. However, do not feel pressured to feel like this all the time. Even soldiers as strong as you need to be real with yourself on how you are actually doing. Whenever I want to do something more low-key, I think about my older memories. I could spend hours just reliving the moment in my head. What is one of your favourite memories from when you were a kid? Mine must be when my family went to the airport for a vacation. Very odd but I love planes. Or going to the park. Espicially the swings! You may think these are small things to get excited about but sometimes the small things give you something to look forward to each day. I hope this letter made you feel a little bit more optimistic about the future and took your mind off the harsh things that are going on in life right now. Whenever you feel that you are about to give up, know that you have inspired so many others to keep on going. To end this letter on a good note, I hope this joke made you laugh. “The veteran who became a volleyball coach told his students that the most important skill is knowing how to serve.”

Hello troops! I wanted to start off by asking you how you feel. Even if they aren’t happy emotions, make sure to check in with yourself and really ask yourself how you are doing. I imagine it would be hard to say that you are optimistic every day. I wouldn’t too but know that you have many people cheering you on! Hopefully in the future we may all learn to love each other and keep a sense of peace so we can have our soldiers back home. You have the bravery and courage that only could be described through movies or dreams. If you ever feel like you must always be strong, remember that it is okay to feel unhappy feelings. I couldn’t imagine what you are going through. It is sad to see what is happening around the world and what it has come down to. Thank you so much for your service and keeping our country safe. Because of you, I can keep my rights and freedoms. Although I sometimes don’t realize what people have gone through to keep Canada a free country, I am so grateful that I even have the opportunity to be standing on Canadian grounds. Be proud of yourself for what you have done and know that everyone back home is too. In my eyes, you are a real-life superhero. May you go back to your family and friends as soon as possible and to a life that does not involve war. Whatever happens, know that you have made the biggest positive impact to protect the people of Canada. I truly appreciate what you have done. I wish you a safe trip back and take care out there.

Top of the morning Snowbirds, I heard your arrival to Comox when you flew over Courtenay on Tuesday evening April 19. When I looked out the front window of the house I saw you flying to the north and your decorative smoke. I hope to see some of your formations when you are practicing this week.

Hello/Salut fellow Canadians. Things are batshiz crazy these days, I know. I hope no matter what you are struck with in this life that you know and remember that nobody and nothing has a guarantee of security, rights or hope. That all you can do is choose how you respond to that noise. That you do not have to be perfect, you just have to be true to you. You are good enough as is. Sure, everyone can improve but the point is do not deny your right to be what you are for all your faults and wonders in any given moment. Folks who assume they're a finished product usually find themselves lacking. Were all in a process. You're Valid. Worthy. Dont give up on goodness. Dont give up on you. Dont give up on others. You cant have life without death, good without bad, dark without light, rain without sun. You endure the pain because the moments of bliss are worth it. Chin up Buttercups. I'm rooting for you. (Silly girl from Vancouver Island on a shtty adventure of lessons in the southern usa.)

Attention!: Canadian Armed Forces, I thank you for the freedom you provide to citizens like myself. I have the freedom to enjoy everything Canada has to offer and I like that! I am free to vote because we are a democratic country which is crucial. In the future, I may consider giving back to Canada through a political position. I enjoy that freedom and option! Take care, James

Hello Troops, I am back with another message to you. Well, I was sitting outside today, just staring at the sky. Noticing the clouds, hearing the trees sway in the wind, smelling the wet grass from the melting snow. In the moment, I wasn't thinking of much, but it was later that I had a pressing thought: I am able to do this, without worry, because of the hard work and sacrifices made by you. My life is so much better, because of you Troops. You all are the reason that so many Canadians, including myself, can live better lives with the safety and security, thanks to you. I appreciate you, all of you, because my moment of happiness in nature today was one of many moments that are only possible because of you. That is all. As always, all the best and stay safe out there. - Mason

Hello Troops, I am back with another message to you. Today, I watched a movie called The Adam Project. It got me thinking about the main message in the movie; Showing love and affection for those who love you dearly. Now, I don't know any of you personally, but I wanted to show you how much I care for all of you. You all are incredible, amazing angels of the good that is in this earth. Watching over us every day, making sure we are safe and sound in our homes, and in our country. I want you to know that i love you. I don't mean that in a creepy way, but I want to let you see that I appreciate, and am grateful for each and every one of you, doing everything you can to keep all of us safe. That is all for today Troops, know that I appreciate you, and I know I am not the only one. As Always, All the best and stay safe out there - Mason

Hi troops, how do you feel? First forgive me if something is spelled wrong, but i’m a brazilian teenager and i’m still learning english, so i thought writing to you could be a way to improve my english level. Even though i’m from another country i’d like to start this text by wishing you all good luck, i imagine it’s not going to be easy, given whats happening in the world right now, but i want to bring hope, on better days, on days of peace. The uncertainties about what will happen affect our psychological side so much, but have faith and trust that all this will pass, we are all praying, regardless of belief. Finally, i want to finish this letter by thanking each of you for your service and for being so brave. - Isadora.

Hello Troops, I am back with another message to you. Today, Well, I would like to talk about our country. Some say it has gotten worse over the recent years. I say not. We have done some wonderful things. We have done some amazing, groundbreaking things. I mean it's not surprising. We are one of safest places on earth to live, and we are the most educated country. Not only that, but we are one of the happiest countries on the planet. That is all thanks to you. Our success is definitely your success, and a physical manifestation of everything you do. Your work and sacrifice is what has allowed our country to thrive. We are grateful for that. We are able to be who we want to be, and make this country the place it is, all because of you. Know that troops, your work matters. Our countries entire identity would change without you. That is all. As always, all the best and stay safe out there. - Mason

Hi Troops, I am back with another message to you. Today's topic is about possessions. We don't need them, but we love them. I see what is happening in Ukraine, and it is awful. People are leaving their homes with nothing but some clothes. I see this and i feel appreciative. Not only do i appreciate what i have, but i appreciate you the Troops. Because of you, we can live in peace with anything we want. We don't have to be on the run, and we can stay where we are. That is all because of your hard work and loyal dedication. We don't have to feel that pain, and we live sedentary lives. Without you troops, we wouldn't live the lives have now. I guess we could say you have changed and influenced our lives. Because of you all, we live fun, fulfilling lives filled with safety and happiness. That is on you. That is all. As always, all the best and stay safe out there. - Mason
