Hi and Merry Christmas. I have a few questions about the army. Do you like fighting other people in other armies? Firstly, where are you stationed? Secondly, At what place in that country are you in? I hope you can make it home to see your family for Christmas and someday. Also do you get presents even though you are not home? Sorry if you can not make it home to celebrate Christmas with your family. All I know is that your family misses you so much and I hope you miss them too. I know what that feels like. But, I have a few more questions for you. Do you fly a plane or drive a tank? Do you like fighting? And last but least do you miss your family? Cause I would for sure. I hope this email finds you healthy and in good spirits! I am writing from Mother d’Youville School in Beaumont, Alberta. I teach fifth grade here and have the most amazing group of students this year and we all would like to send warm Christmas wishes your way!
Firstly, I’d like to express my sincere thanks for your service. I can’t imagine how difficult it must be to be away from the people you love the most during the Chriistms season. Also, I’d like to extend my hope that in the New Year, you are able to return safely to Canada and to your family. Lastly, I’d like to share one of my favourite Chsitmas jokes with the hope of bringing a smile to your face; What do you get when you cross a snowman with a vampire? Frostbite!!

My name is Mary and I am in Gr. 3 in Collingwood, ON. Where are you right now? A bit about me is that I like all the colours of the rainbow and I have a pet hamster named Tiny. He lives in a big tank in our living room. At school today, our class went bowling. It was so much fun, and I knocked down all the pins on one of my turns. Do you like bowling? In the summertime, I love to catch butterflies and frogs. I also love to play my guitar. In the winter, I like playing in the snow, and making snowmen. Afterwards, I like to come in to eat pizza and drink hot chocolate.
