To all the members of the Canadian Armed Forces serving in Project Reassurance in Latvia Please allow me, as an ordinary Canadian citizen, to tell you how very much I appreciate your work there. Please know that you make me and us proud. You may think that your personal role is quite modest BUT I want you to know that, in the tradition of the Canadian veterans who fought in Europe in World World War 2, each and every day you are doing more to fight against authoritarianism than the man who is tragically the current president of the United States. You are doing more! Each and every one of you individually is making an important contribution to defending our democratic values, values we share with our NATO partners and, of course, the courageous people of Ukraine. Here is wishing all members of the Canadian Armed Forces and their families a peaceful holiday. This past fall, my wife and I decided to fulfill a lifetime dream and visit Europe for an extended tour of the battlefields where our Canadian soldiers fought valiantly and with so many sacrificing their lives. I have always had a deep passion for Canadian military history but only thru media like books, documentaries, movies, stories, etc. I already have the greatest admiration for those men and women who protect and defend this great nation of ours, but to actually see, hear, smell, touch and walk the fields, trenches and beaches where those brave soldiers fought, was a surreal experience and was very emotional for us both. As a father of two and a grandfather of four, I have tried to enlighten the importance of being proud of this great country and the freedom it offers us. But freedom has to be protected and defended at a high cost, and that requires unselfish sacrifice by humble men and women like yourselves. That point was amplified tenfold by the tour we took and no words can ever express how grateful we are to soldiers present and past for their service. You make us proud. Happy holidays to you and your families.
Thank you. Thank you for protecting our homeland from those who wish to harm us. Everyday you do Canadians proud in protecting us. If you are on deployment, get home safe, but either way wherever you are, THANK YOU. Have a blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year. THANK YOU!!! You guys are my hero’s, and one day I am going to join the armed forces to be just like you.

Thank you for your services. From all of us in the community of Iroquois Falls, ON and the Iroquois Falls Storm Jr A Hockey Club. To honour Canadian Forces Morale & Welfare Services - CFMWS (CFMWS), the STORM kicked off their home game on November 29th, 2025, wearing official game day Military Jerseys by acknowledging the dedicated service of the Canadian Military. Funds raised from the STORM 50/50 draw and Chuck-A-Puck event raised $745 along with an additional donation from the Iroquois Falls Storm Jr A Hockey Club, resulting in a total contribution of $1,000 to CFMWS Operation Santa Claus. This initiative brings holiday joy and comfort to thousands of CAF members every year. We extend our gratitude to those who serve and safeguard us each day!

Dear, Veteran Thank you for your service in whatever war you fought in. It was important to us for what you fought for and I am grateful, I hope you are enjoying your life and are proud of what you did. I learned that many people died in the gulf war. You decided to help another country that had nothing to do with you because you are just a great person.
